Rehabilitation of schools during the Afghan war and earthquakes
Project context
Many school buildings were damaged during the Afghan war. Additionally, the area is an earthquake prone zone adding to the damage of the school buildings.
Activities
- Analysis and classification of school buildings according to damages
- The school buildings which showed about 70% or more damages in cost evaluation were recommended to be demolished
- School buildings only partly badly damaged were recommended to be partly dismantled and partly rehabilitated
